📋 Pre-Deployment & Site Setup

Trailer Inspection: Verify tire pressure, wheel chocks, hitch lock, and stabilizing jacks.
Leveling & Stability: Park on stable ground, drop jacks onto timber blocking, and ensure the trailer is level.
Fire Break & Perimeter: Clear a 15-foot radius of dry duff, leaves, and surface debris. Establish wind direction.
Safety & Suppression Cache:
• Water IBC tote / pressure tanks filled & pressurized
• Backpack water pumps & functional fire extinguishers staged
• Hand tools (shovels, Pulaskis, metal rakes) ready
PPE Check: P100 respirators, eye protection, leather gloves, and natural-fiber clothing verified for all crew members.
Feedstock Staging: Sort and stack dry slash/wood within arm's reach of the kiln feed door (segregated by size).

🔥 Burn & Processing Workflow

Ignition Phase: Establish kindling fire inside the kiln chamber to build an initial oxygen-starved draft.
Thermal Upscaling: Feed larger split wood or forest slash progressively at a steady, measured pace.
Draft Regulation: Monitor smoke output (transitioning from white/gray steam to translucent blue-gray pyrolysis gases).
Combustion Control: Prevent complete ash conversion by tightly managing primary air intakes.

🌊 Quenching & Cooling

Oxygen Starvation: Seal all primary air intakes completely once the chamber reaches capacity.
Water Quenching: Apply metered water spray/mist directly into the chamber (wear respiratory PPE against steam).
Thermal Verification: Confirm internal core temperatures are completely cold to the touch to eliminate any risk of spontaneous combustion.

📦 Bagging & Site Wrap-Up

Nutrient Charging (Optional): Blend biochar with compost tea, mycorrhizae, or mineral dusts as needed.
Super-Sack Loading: Secure the 1,000–1,500 lb agricultural super-sack beneath the discharge chute. Fill evenly.
Transport Staging: Cinch/tie off the super-sack and transfer to the transport vehicle using tractor forks or tailgate lifter.
Final Site Police: Sweep the footprint, secure trailer tie-downs, and verify zero active embers before leaving the landing.
